It has been a while, what 2011, that the last instalment of the the super duper hit franchise Pirates of the Caribbean released their swashbuckling gimmicks, led by Captain Jack Sparrow. There been quite a lot of speculation over the years as to what would come next and whether old favorite characters would come back, possibly from the dead to regain their stronghold over the high seas.
Well, the wait is over, technically, as the first teaser trailer for the 5th movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was officially released. The good news? There are going to be some dark characters and young, new characters introduced in the film. The bad news? The teaser trailer didn’t have any Jack Sparrow in it yet, and the movie itself is set for a May 2017 release. Gosh darn it.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, as the name suggests, tells the tale of Captain Jack Sparrow’s biggest nemesis, Captain Salazar, who comes back from the dead, having escaped the insufferable Devil’s Triangle, and is looking for his enemy. He comes across a young boy, Henry, who is being carried across the ocean in a British ship, prisoner to some unknown crime, and looking for his long-lost father. But Captain Jack Sparrow is busy trying to gain control of the Trident of Poseidon, an instrument that gets one access to control over the oceans and an instrument that will save the watery world from the soulless Captain Salazar. There is also another young girl by the name of Carina Smyth, who is as well in search of the Trident and has more clues in a book that could help Captain Jack get what he wants. And there are other old friends waiting to help Captain Jack Sparrow – Queen Anne’s Revenge’s Captain Hector Barbossa, Will Turner-turned-Davy Jones at the bottom of the ocean and of course, Sparrow’s sidekick, Joshamee Gibbs.
